General Questions

  • Adventure in Black is a travel and event company that curates group Travel Experiences, Luxury Getaways and Premier Events.

  • We are available via email Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Phone support is also available via scheduled appointment.

  • Adventure in Black caters to anyone looking to travel. Our primary clientele tends to be black professional men and women that are interested in seeing the world, prioritizing themselves as a form of self-care and connect with like-minded individuals while on their journeys.

  • Adventure in Black is a NOT membership-based service. You can however become a member of our Facebook! Join our Facebook group to connect with other travelers and stay on top of new Travel Divas trips and news.

PAYMENT QUESTIONS

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Financing is also available through Uplift.

  • Uplift gives you the freedom to book travel now and pay over time with simple fixed installments. Some plans include interest while some are interest-free.

  • Yes! You do need to allow a few days between booking and your departure date for things to process. Other than that, you are free to travel whenever - even before you are all paid off.

  • The Uplift application takes roughly 5-minutes to complete. Simply submit this form to get your application started.

  • Please note that all payments are non-refundable. Please try to make sure that you can attend a trip before booking it.

    It is your responsibility to sell your spot to someone else 21+ of age and contact us immediately in the event you can no longer attend a booked trip. Not all is lost, however! We strongly encourage you to purchase comprehensive cancel for any reason insurance (CFAR) within 10 days of your purchase, so that you’ll be able to recover your investment from your insurance provider.

  • Payments can be made in-full at the time of checkout. however, payment plans are available. The due dates for all payment plans are listed on the checkout page and visible to your prior to paying for your trip.

    A late fee of $75 is added to any bill that is past due after 3 business days.

    If you find yourself not being able to make a payment, please send us an email. If you fail to make a payment for 60 days without any communication to us, your reservations will automatically cancel.

Booking QUESTIONS

  • Yes, you are responsible for booking your own flight to your Adventure in Black destination (unless otherwise specified in the itinerary). Although our trip prices do not include international or domestic flights to and from the start/end cities, it does include transportation while on your experience, accommodations, most meals, all activities listed on the itinerary, an accompanying photographer and tons of inclusions.

    Airfare isn’t included for a few reasons:

    Choice: We want you to have the ultimate choice when booking your airfare. Whether you want to scour the internet to compare the lowest fare, book first-class airfare on your own, or want the convenience of our help, the choice is yours.

    Flexibility: Looking to arrive to your travel destination a couple days (or months) before your trip begins, or want to stay longer after it ends? By not including international flights with rigid departure dates in your trip price, you have the flexibility to do it your way. We’ll inform you of the start and end times of your trip, making it easy to book flights on your own or with us.

  • Double occupancy simply means that there will be 2 people in the room. Most double occupancy accommodations will have 2 queen beds in the room. If you booked double occupancy and are coming solo, a roommate will be assigned to you for the duration of the trip. Please note that ALL PRICES LISTED ON OUR WEBSITE ARE PER PERSON, regardless if there are one or 2 travelers in the room.

  • While we encourage room sharing to foster a sense of community, we understand that some people aren’t comfortable with a roommate arrangement. To have your own room, please book single occupancy, however please note it is more expensive than Double Occupancy.

  • We welcome anyone over the age of 21. The average age range of our travelers is between 26-40 years of age. For all tours including alcohol, minimum age requirement will be 21 years old and older.

  • Yes, Adventure in Black Tours are open to everyone worldwide, just know that you are responsible for all visa/documents requirement to travel to the chosen destination.

  • Itineraries are sent to each client 30 days before the event via email. We try to get itineraries finalized sooner and if we do you will receive it via email.
